I think nowadays this museum stays behind with being pro active to the customer. For the price We thought it would be a fun experience to visit this museum, but we were outside within 1 hour and We found the Erotic Museum by accident, seeing it signposted. It is well worth a visit for it includes a large collection of rare objects from all over the world that celebrate the worship of the Priapus phallus and generative powers.
These are such items that you will see on display in the significant 'Secret Room' in Naple's Architectural Museum and 'Secret Cabinets' in other major museums. These include the Altes old Museum in Berlin. Do not be put off by the fact that enter the Museum, which opened in , through the entrance to the Beate Uhse sex shop. You take a lift to the top floor and start with an exhibition about the life of Beate Uhse, who apparently dedicated her life to fighting for social acceptance of sexuality.
Be open minded and you will be fascinated. My friend and I visited this museum on our business trip to Berlin. The exhibition is distributed over two floors. You start from the top one in which it is possible to experience an useless and extremely boring string of documents and photo about Beate Uhse who created this museum her long-held dream The first floor is fully dedicated to a lots of drawings which are repetetive and completely devoid of any molecule of libido.
That's it! You could have a look in the sex shop when you enter on the ground floor, but it is quite similar to what you can find near your home. Do not waste your time and money 8 euros per person!!! My wife and I thought it would be amusing to visit this museum on our trip to Berlin.
Having said that, don't bother. The museum is split over 2 floors. You start on the top floor which is an utterly hopeless, sparse, uninteresting museum about Beate Uhse who set up the museum and started sex shops in Germany.
